The LSV seminar takes place on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. The usual location is the conference room at Pavillon des Jardins (venue). If you wish to be informed by e-mail about upcoming seminars, please contact Stéphane Le Roux and Matthias Fuegger.
The seminar is open to public and does not require any form of registration.
Cryptanalysis is a set of methods to circumvent the security of cryptographic algorithms. It can be applied at different levels: at the assumption level, attacking the computationally-hard problem on which the security of a scheme is based; at the scheme level, attacking the scheme directly when its security is not based on some hard problems (this is the case when specific instances of a hard problems are used) or in symmetric cryptography; finally at the implementation level, when side channel information can be used.
In this talk, I will make a survey of some cryptanalytic techniques and describe my contributions towards this field.
